The CW confirms they have ordered a TV pilot, further to their purchase from HBO for the rights to the book "The Carrie Diaries", by author Candace Bushnell about teenage 'Carrie Bradshaw', exploring her first few months in New York City and the beginning of her relationship with an older man.
The new series is being developed by "Gossip Girl" producers Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage, for the Fall 2012 season.
