TNT has greenlit 10 episodes of a new "Dallas" series, continuing the story of bitter rivalries and family power struggles in a Texas oil and cattle-ranching dynasty.
The new Warner Horizon Television production brings new cast members together with original "Dallas" series regulars.
Actors Josh Henderson ("90210"), Jesse Metcalfe ("John Tucker Must Die") Jordana Brewster ("Fast & Furious"), Julie Gonzalo ("Veronica Mars") and Brenda Strong ("Desperate Housewives"), will be joined by Patrick Duffy, Linda Gray and Larry Hagman as 'J.R. Ewing'.TNT will offer a sneak peek of the new series, July 11, 2011, during the network's premieres of "The Closer" and "Rizzoli & Isles."
Brewster plays 'Elena', daughter of the ranch cook, who becomes involved in a love triangle with Christopher and John.
Linda Gray and Patrick Duffy will reprise their roles of 'Sue Ellen' and 'Bobby'.
"Dallas" debuted on CBS in 1978, airing for 13 seasons, then translated into 67 languages for syndicated distribution to 90 countries, spinning-off ancillary toys, clothing and a daily newspaper comic strip.
