According to reports, screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg ("Twilight"), will reboot Summit Entertainment's "Highlander" movie franchise, from producer Neal H. Moritz and director Justin Lin ("Fast Five").
The original "Highlander" fantasy-action feature, budgeted at $16 million, from Thorn EMI Screen Entertainment and Highlander Productions Limited, distributed by 20th Century Fox, was released in 1986, directed by Russell Mulcahy and based on a story by Gregory Widen.

Starring actors Christopher Lambert as 'Connor MacLeod'/ 'Russell Nash', Sean Connery as 'Juan Sanchez Villa-Lobos RamÃrez', Clancy Brown as' The Kurgan/'Victor Krugerand' and Roxanne Hart as 'Brenda Wyatt', depicted the climax of an ages-old battle between immortal warriors, focusing on an elaborately-interwoven past and present day storylines.
