Sneak Peek Abrams' "Super 8"

From Bad Robot Productions, Amblin Entertainment and Copperheart Entertainment, Sneak Peek new images and the Super Bowl XLV TV spot supporting "Super 8", the upcoming feature written/directed by J. J. Abrams and produced by Abrams, Steven Spielberg and Bryan Burk.

The $50 million budgeted science fiction film stars Elle Fanning, Amanda Michalka, and Kyle Chandler, due for a Paramount release June 10, 2011 in both conventional and IMAX theatres.

Although Abrams has refused to reveal the plot of the film, what has been confirmed is that "Super 8" is set in 1979, following a group of teenagers that discover they've accidentally captured an image (similar to "Blow Up") of an alien creature on their super 8 movie camera.

Noted as the first original J. J. Abrams film project, filming took place in Weirton, West Virginia, from September-October 2010.

The teaser trailer for the film depicted the deliberate derailment of a US Air Force train, transporting material from 'Area 51' to 'Wright-Patterson Air Force Base' and the subsequent escape of an unknown entity from inside one of the cargo cars.
