Jordana Brewster Heads For "Dallas"

Actress Jordana Brewster ("Fast & Furious") has been cast in TNT's upcoming "Dallas" TV series reboot.

Written by Cynthia Cidre ("The Mambo Kings"), the new "Dallas", produced by Warner Horizon follows feuding cousins 'John Ross' and 'Christopher', the children of brothers 'J.R.' and 'Bobby Ewing', as they clash over the future of the Ewing dynasty.

Brewster will play 'Elena', daughter of the ranch cook, who becomes involved in a love triangle with Christopher and John.

Linda Gray and Patrick Duffy will reprise their roles of 'Sue Ellen' and 'Bobby'.

"Dallas" debuted on CBS in 1978, running for 13 seasons, then translated into 67 languages for distribution to 90 countries, garnering ancillary merchandising including toys, clothing and a syndicated newspaper comic strip.

Created by David Jacobs, the show's central character is 'John Ross "J.R." Ewing Jr'., a greedy, scheming oil baron.
