Atari reports that the downloadable title, "Ghostbusters: Sanctum of Slime", will be available for Xbox 360 via Xbox LIVE Arcade, the PlayStation 3 via the PlayStation Network, and the PC via download.
The four-player cooperative action title is played from a 'top-down' perspective that lets players take on the role of a paranormal investigating 'Ghostbuster', hired by the Ghostbusters crew to save New York City "...from a disaster of ghoulish proportions..."
"...As one of the four rookies, you’ve been tasked with clearing a series of haunted environments of their 'ecotplasmic' inhabitants. Weapons and tools at your disposal include the 'Proton Stream', 'Plasma Inductor' and the 'Fermion Shock'. Rookie Ghostbusters will face the dangers of the eerie world alone or with a ghostbusting team of friends both locally or online through the game’s multiplayer capability..."The game is currently in development at Behaviour Studios for a mid-2011 release.
