The Sikelia Productions, Far Hills Pictures film is executive produced by Stone Douglass and Taylor Materne for producers Scorsese, Emma Tillinger Koskoff and Diane Kolyer.

Scorsese appears on and off camera throughout 'A Letter to Elia', taking us through Kazan’s life and through his own as well, and through his growing realization that there was an artist behind the camera, someone 'who knew me, maybe better than I knew myself'.

In "The Elia Kazan Box Set", available November 9, Scorsese presents a collection of fifteen Kazan classic features, including "A Letter to Elia(2010), composed of film clips, stills and readings from Kazan’s autobiography, his speech on 'directing' (read by actor Elias Koteas), a videotaped Kazan interview and Scorsese’s commentary on and offscreen.
