Warners Waiting For "Superman" Director

Producers Chris Nolan ("The Dark Knight") and Emma Thomas have started meeting with a shortlist of directors for the job of reviving DC Comics 'Man Of Steel' for the big screen, financed by Warner Bros and Legendary Pictures.

Possible choices to direct the new "Superman" movie reboot, from a screenplay by David Goyer, include Tony Scott ("Unstoppable"), Matt Reeves ("Let Me In") Jonathan Liebesman ("Battle: Los Angeles"), Duncan Jones ("Moon") and Zack Snyder ("Watchmen").

According to reports, Nolan will submit his choice to the studio within the next few weeks, looking to greenlight the feature by 2012, as Warners will lose 'certain rights' to the character in 2013 after a judge ruled on behalf of the heirs of "Superman" comic book creator Jerry Siegel.
