"Haven": It Takes A Village To Hide A Secret

"Haven" is the new supernatural drama TV series based on author Stephen King's novel "The Colorado Kid", is the first property to be produced for Syfy Pay channels internationally.

"...Shrewd and confident FBI agent 'Audrey Parker' (Emily Rose) has a lost past when she arrives in the small town of 'Haven', Maine on a routine case. Before long, her natural curiosity leads her to the center of activity in this curious enclave, which turns out to be a longtime refuge for people that are affected by a range of supernatural afflictions..."

September 2009, E1 Entertainment ordered King's "The Colorado Kid" concept straight to series for thirteen episodes. November 2009, Syfy picked up the series, based on the pilot written by Sam Ernst/Jim Dunn and directed by Adam Kane.

Canadian broadcaster Canwest Global Communications acquired rights to "Haven", March 2010. Production started April 20 in Halifax, Chester, Lunenberg and Mahone Bay, Nova Scotia.

The first episode "Welcome To Haven" debuts on Syfy July 9, 2010 and on Canada's Showcase, July 12, co-starring Eric Balfour as 'Duke Crocker', Lucas Bryant as 'Nathan Wournos', Richard Donat as 'Vince Teagues' and John Dunsworth ("Trailer Park Boys") as 'Dave Teagues'.
