Premise of "True Blood" details the co-existence of 'vampires' and humans in 'Bon Temps', a fictional Louisiana town, focusing on 'Sookie Stackhouse' (Anna Paquin), a 'telepathic' waitress at a bar, who falls in love with vampire 'Bill Compton' (Stephen Moyer).
The show is broadcast on HBO in North America, produced by HBO in association with Ball's production company, Your Face Goes Here Entertainment, debuting September 2008.
The first season won several awards, including one Golden Globe and an Emmy. The show's second 12-episode season premiered June 14 2009. The third season started shooting December 3, 2009 and will air beginning June 13, 2010, with Ball confirming there will be a fourth season.
