"The Extra Man" is a new comedy feature based on "The Extra Man" novel by author Jonathan Ames, written/directed by Shari Springer Berman and Robert Pulcini, starring Kevin Kline, Paul Dano, Katie Holmes and John C. Reilly.
Premise follows failed playwright 'Henry' (Kline) who develops an odd mentor relationship with troubled, aspiring playwright 'Louis' (Dano), when he sublets a room in his New York apartment to him. 
Henry teaches Louis the art of being an 'Extra Man', accompanying and entertaining wealthy older women "...in their fanciful social lives..."
