"Final Fantasy XIII" is the role-playing video game developed/published by Square Enix for the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360.
The thirteenth installment in the "Final Fantasy" series introduces a 'crystarium' system determining which abilities are developed for the characters and a customizable 'paradigm' system that controls which abilities are used by the characters.
"Final Fantasy XIII" takes place in the fictional location of 'Cocoon', where the 'Sanctum' government is ordering a purge on civilians.
Square Enix describes the theme of the game as "those who resist the world".
