Canadian actor (with no drawling American accent) Ryan Reynolds, currently prepping to play DC Comics superhero "The Green Lantern", has also signed to play in the Neil Moritz produced Dark Horse Comics graphic novel adaptation, "RIPD", set to start shooting January 2011.
"It’s about two cops," said Moritz about "RIPD" ."One recently dead and a gunslinger who’s been dead for hundreds of years that work on the 'Rest in Peace' department - which is the police department of the dead. It takes place on a normal day and it’s about trying to keep the spirits quiet."
