'Barbie' Toys With "Mad Men"

After three seasons, "Mad Men", the AMC TV series about liars and lovers in the world of 1960's advertising, will have toy manufacturer Mattel create both 'Barbie' and 'Ken' doll versions of "Mad Men" characters 'Joan Holloway', 'Roger Sterling', 'Don Draper' and 'Betty Draper'.

The dolls will be part of a 'premium-price' collectors’ series for adults called the 'Barbie Fashion Model Collection', priced at $74.95 each.

Mattel licensed rights to the characters from Lionsgate, the studio that produces “Mad Men” for AMC.

There will be 7,000 to 10,000 copies of each doll sold in specialty stores and on the web.

The dolls are outfitted with hats, overcoats, pearls and padded undergarments.

“The dolls, we feel, do a great job of embodying the series,” said Stephanie Cota for Mattel.
