Warner Home Video's next DC Universe Original Animated Movie, following "Justice League: Crisis On Two Earths" will be "Batman: Under The Red Hood", from a screenplay by Judd Winick, writer of the original DC Comics stories, featured in "Batman" issues #625 to #641.
The new film will be directed by Brandon Vietti.
Voice cast includes Canadian actor Bruce Greenwood as 'Batman', Jensen Ackles as 'Red Hood', John DiMaggio as the 'Joker', Jason Isaacs as 'Ra's Al Ghul' and Neil Patrick Harris as 'Nightwing'.
Premise of Winick's stories, focus on 'Jason Todd', the former 'Robin' killed by the 'Joker' in " Death in the Family", now resurrected as the 'Red Hood', confronting those he feels have wronged him, including kidnapping the Joker and assuming control over criminal gangs in 'Gotham City'.
The Red Hood starts a one-man, 'anti-heroic' war against the criminal empire of the 'Black Mask', attempting to cleanse the city of corruption, including the illegal drug trade and gang violence, confronting Batman, a new 'Robin', 'Onyx' and the 'Green Arrow'.
