Warners Flocking To "Hawkman" ?

DC Comics' 'Golden Age' comic book superhero "Hawkman", who "fights the evils of the present with weapons of the past", may be next in line for a big screen Warners adaptation.

Warners are reportedly considering the spin-off , depending on viewer response to a live-action "Hawkman", featured in the Vancouver-lensed "Smallville: Absolute Justice", 2-hour special airing February 5, 2010.

The 'Hawkman' character debuted in the 1940's as a secondary super-hero character in "Flash Comics".

Archeologist 'Carter Hall' was the reincarnation of the ancient Egyptian prince 'Khufu'.

Carter disguised himself as 'Hawkman', using artificial wings, attached to a harness made from the rare 'Nth' metal, in his nightly role as a flying vigilante crime-fighter, wielding archaic weaponry displayed in his museum.

In the 1960's DC Comics introduced new Hawkman 'Katar Hol' a police officer from the planet 'Thanagar' who stayed on Earth to help the super-powered team 'Justice League' deal with super-villains.
