Sony Targets Quebec's "Fathers And Guns"

Sony Pictures recently acquired remake rights to French-Canadian action feature "Fathers and Guns" ("De Pere en flic"), filmed in Quebec, following a father and son cop team assigned to infiltrate an outdoor adventure group-therapy camp.

The adaptation is in development with Spielberg associates, producers Kathleen Kennedy and Frank Marshall with the original movie's producer Denise Robert and writer/director Emile Gaudreault.

("De Pere en flic" earned two-thirds of the past summer's ticket sales for French-language films in Quebec, to become the highest-grossing French-language film ever released in Quebec and Canada...
