Actress Angie "Law And Order" Harmon will next star in the TNT pilot "Rizzoli," a 'medical thriller' directed by Michael M. Robin.The show is based on an adaptation of author Tess Gerritsen's "Jane Rizzoli" mystery novels, following the exploits of a Boston-based homicide detective.
Author Gerritsen, also a noted Chinese-American physician, released her first crime thriller, "The Surgeon" in 2001, with Rizzoli featured as a secondary character in the novel.The poularity of the character then became a central focus in a series of seven books.
