Archie Comics Publications, the 70-year old comic book publishers have signed with the CAA Talent Agency for 'branded entertainment' opportunities.
The original comics company 'MLJ Comics' , was founded/created in 1939 by Maurice Coyne, Louis Silberkleit and John L. Goldwater.
a>MLJ's superhero characters included US flag-costumed "The Shield", pre-dating Jack 'King' Kirby's "Captain America" and "The Comet", noted as the first superhero to be killed 'in the line of duty'.
Other characters included "The Hangman", one of the most 'brutal' superheroes of the 1940's, "Roy The Superboy", preceding DC Comics "Superboy" by 5 years and "Steel Sterling", dubbed 'The Man Of Steel' before "Superman".

Written by Vic Bloom and illustrated by Bob Montana, Archie's debut was in "Pep Comics" #22, December 22, 1941.
The backup feature, replaced "Madame Satan", with Goldwater basing the girl-crazy character on actor Mickey Rooney, who then starred in a series of "Andy Hardy" movies.
In 1946, MLJ changed its name to Archie Comics. with illustrator Dan DeCarlo, formerly of Atlas Comics' "Millie the Model", responsible for the 'modern look' of the Archie characters and the creation of numerous spin-off comics including "Sabrina, the Teenage Witch" and "Josie and the Pussycats".
