Lionsgate has grabbed the new action comedy feature "Kick-Ass", securing domestic rights to director Matthew "Layer Cake" Vaughn’s latest film based on the 2008 Marvel comics by Mark Millar and John Romita Jr. Premise follows comic book-obsessed teenager 'Dave Lizewski', who lives alone with his father and decides to become a superhero despite a lack of superpowers.
Cast includes actors Nicolas Cage, Aaron Johnson, Chloe Moretz and Christopher Mintz-Plasse.
