Marvel Animation will partner with Japanese animation studio Madhouse for an "Iron Man" and "Wolverine"animated TV series, scheduled to launch on the Japanese Animax channel next spring.
Warren Ellis will oversee the writing of the shows, reimagining the Marvel characters for a Japanese audience.
Following "Iron Man" and "Wolverine" will be anime series based on "X-Men" and "Blade".
"Iron Man" is set in Tokyo, focusing on an unexpected clash of cultures.
"Wolverine" will adapt the Marvel comic books by Frank Miller and Chris Claremont.
