"House" creator David Shore has been tapped to develop a remake of the 1970's cop drama "The Rockford Files".
The original series followed the adventures of 'Jim Rockford', an ex-convict private eye who worked cases out of his trailer in Malibu.
The popular show ran for six years, produced by writer Stephen J. Cannell, winning an Emmy for series star James Garner.
