Cartoon Network Enlists "The Marvel Super Hero Squad"...

Marvel Entertainment will package 26 episodes of the new animated TV series "Marvel Super Hero Squad" for Turner's Cartoon Network.

Based on a line of toys, the series will feature Marvel Comics' characters 'Captain America', 'Silver Surfer', 'Hulk', 'Wolverine' and 'Iron Man' as they team up to fight crime.

The series will debut late 2009, featuring the voice talents of actors Tom Kenny ("SpongeBob SquarePants"), Charlie Adler ("Transformers"), Steve Blum ("Wolverine and the X-Men") and Grey DeLisle ("The Replacements").

Alan Fine, Simon Phillips and Eric S. Rollman will executive produce.

The original "Marvel Super Hero Squad', action figure line was marketed by Hasbro in 2007, offring 2-inch scale replicas of Marvel comic book heroes designed for younger collectors.
