Written/directed by Daniel "The Blair Witch Project" Myrick, "The Objective" follows 'Ben Keynes' (Jonas Ball), a CIA operative based in the Middle East, who discovers readings from a spy satellite, indicating a massive cache of radioactive material hidden in a mountain region of Afghanistan.Worried that guerillas are constructing a nuclear weapon, Keynes joins a reconnaissance mission to Afghanistan, using the cover story that he's trying to ferret out an international terrorist leader.
Keynes and the soldiers head into the mountains with local 'Abdul' (Zindune Chems Eddine), serving as both translator/guide, who warns Keynes and his outfit that their intended destination is considered sacred ground by Afghans and that they're risking their lives by trespassing.
Keynes soon finds a supernatural force lurking in the mountains more dangerous than any band of terrorists...
