Warner Bros. is planning to turn cat and mouse cartoon characters "Tom and Jerry" into big screen CG stars.
Producer Dan "Sherlock Holmes" Lin will adapt Hanna-Barbera's Oscar wining duo for an origin story revealing how 'Tom' the cat and 'Jerry' the mouse first met before developing their psychotic relationship of shooting, hammering, sawing and blasting away at each other.

Screenplay is by Eric Gravning, writer of the upcoming films "B-Minor," "Mr. Burnout" and "Class Act".
The CG/live-action model worked previously for Warners "Scooby-Doo", with two films that earned $457 million theatrically.

Lin will produce "Tom and Jerry" through his Lin Pictures, with Jon Silk co-producing.
