Filming in Wales starts this week on the "Doctor Who" Easter Special "Planet of the Dead", written by Russll T. Davis and Gareth Roberts, co-starring actress Michelle "The Bionic Woman" Ryan.Ryan will play mysterious 'Lady Christina de Souza', who joins the good 'Doctor' on an innocent bus trip that takes a "detour into danger", according to the BBC.
"I'm a huge fan of 'Doctor Who'", said Ryan.
"It is such a fantastic show, I can't wait to get started."
There is already speculation that Ryan could be cast as the assistant to new Doctor Matt Smith, following his replacement of David Tennant, who will bow out of the series at the end of the year."Planet of the Dead" is the first of four "Doctor Who Specials" to air in 2009.
"Michelle is one of the most sought after young actors in the country," said Davies.
"We are delighted she will be joining the team.."
