Director Marc "Quantum of Solace” Forster will helm “World War Z,” an adaptation of author Max Brooks’ new Crown Publishing novel about 'zombies'. Writer J. Michael "Changeling" Straczynski will adapt the screenplay and Brad Pitt's Plan B is producing.
Premise of Brooks’ story follows researcher 'Gerry Lane' who works for the 'U.N. Postwar Commission' interviewing survivors 10 years after a 'zombie crisis', "...to gather a first-person post-mortem on a war that obliterated every country on the map..."
In 2003, Brooks wrote "Zombie Survival Guide" which explained how to survive a zombie attack.
Crown Publishing will release the book.
