"Wicked", the Broadway musical inspired by "The Wizard Of Oz" will be produced as a feature film by Marc "Wanted" Platt, who has signed an extended five-year contract with Universal.
"Our goal now is absolutely to make the 'Wicked' film, " said Universal's Judy Craymer.
"Wicked" is based on the best-selling novel about the two witches in the 'Land of Oz', 'Elphaba', the future 'Wicked Witch of the West' and 'Glinda', the 'Good Witch of the North' and is a prequel of sorts to the series of books by author L. Frank Baum...
