Fox 2000 is planning to remake director Brian De Palma’s 1978 psychic thriller “The Fury”.Brian McGreevy and Lee Shipman will script the 'reimagining', focusing on a young man with kinetic powers, abducted by the government to take advantage of his special gifts.
The original film starring actors Kirk Douglas, John Cassavetes and Amy Irving was released by 20th Century Fox, based on author John Farris’ 1976 novel.
Ted Field will produce through his Radar Pictures banner, with Mike Weber executive producer.
