After Marvel Comics killed off the Jack Kirby/Joe Simon, 1940's comic book character 'Captain America' (again) award-winning artist Alex Ross has created a variant cover for Marvel's "Captain America" #34 (January 2008), ushering in the hero's star-spangled return.Marvel Studios are also planning to star 'Cap' in their developing, live-action "Avengers" motion picture, depending on the outcome of the Warners/DC Comics adaptation of superhero crime-fighting team "Justice League" (of America), currently casting.
"'Captain America' is one of the true iconic superheroes of our time," said Marvel president of publishing Dan Buckley.
