Spielberg and Jackson On Herge's "Tintin"

Steven Spielberg and Peter Jackson will team up to direct/produce three back-to-back live-action features based on Herge's Belgian comic-strip hero "Tintin" for DreamWorks.

The films will be produced in full digital 3-D using performance capture technology.

Spielberg and Jackson will each direct at least one of the movies.

Kathleen Kennedy will produce.

Spielberg and Jackson have selected three stories from the "The Adventures of Tintin" series, published between 1929 and 1976.

Two of the stories are rumoured to be "The Secret Of The Unicorn" and its sequel "Red Rackham's Treasure".

Herge's books have sold more than 200 books worldwide.

The first film will be released in 2009.
