Paul and Chris Weitz of Depth of Field productions, will develop author Michael Moorcock's fantasy property "Elric" into a big screen feature film franchise.'Elric of Melniboné', aka 'Elric Kinslayer', aka 'The White Wolf' debuted in 1961, appearing in more than 12 novels.
The character is noted as a "...physically weak, perpetually sickly albino who’s the outcast Emperor of a race of cruel, ancient decadent people...", drawing power from his evil entity runesword, the 'Stormbringer'.
