
Created on March 3, 1967 Telefilm today administers resources totalling $390 million, including the funding programs of the Canadian Television Fund.

As it turns 40, Telefilm is celebrating a new era of partnership with the industry. This is seen in its service agreement with the Canadian Television Fund, the creation of the Working Groups for the Canada Feature Film Fund, innovative industry development initiatives, new programs to support regional production, and the public-private partnership behind The Great Canadian Video Game Competition.
Developing and promoting the Canadian audiovisual industry, Telefilm Canada is a federal cultural agency dedicated to the development and promotion of the Canadian audiovisual industry. Telefilm provides financial support to the private sector to create distinctively Canadian productions that appeal to domestic and international audiences. The Corporation also administers the funding programs of the Canadian Television Fund.
