New Line will adapt the Microsoft/Epic Games video game "Gears of War" into a feature film, from a screenplay by Stuart "Collateral" Beattie.Marty Bowen and Wyck Godfrey will produce through their Temple Hill production company.
"Gears of War" has sold more than 3 million units, released in November and available only for the Xbox 360 console.
Premise of the film will focus on the planet 'Sera', invaded by aliens known as the 'Locust', while a group of elite soldiers, led by 'Marcus Fennix', fight to reclaim the land.
