"The Couriers" Dispatched to the Big Screen

Writer Javier "Lost" Grillo-Marxuach will script a big-screen adaptation of the graphic novel series "The Couriers", from AiT/Planet Lar.

Featuring characters from co-creator Brian Wood's 2002 graphic novel "Couscous Express", "The Couriers" is a fast-paced action-adventure series set in a futuristic New York City, featuring mercenaries 'Moustafa' and 'Special'.

The film will be produced by Trevor Macy and Marc Evans of Intrepid Pictures, in a first-look deal with Universal and Rogue Pictures.

"So yeah, it's optioned," co-creator Brian Wood said on his blog.

"A very long time in coming. My agent and I have spent a lot of time from 2003 to now trying to land a deal and I'm really happy we have one."
