"300" Producer Taking A Cut of "Ronin"

During a press conference for the upcoming feature “300”, based on the graphic novels by Frank Miller, producer Gianni Nunnari confirmed he was developing another comic book-to-film property.

"We are working on 'Ronin,' which is another Frank Miller..." he said.

Nunnari has signed Sylvain "Stomp The Yard" White to direct, with a first look deal set up at Warner Bros.

Premise of "Ronin" focuses on a 'masterless', 13th-century samurai, reborn in 21st century New York. Given one last chance at redemption, Ronin's quest leads him to a final confrontation with the demon 'Agat'.

Created in 1983 as a six-issue DC Comics mini-series, Miller describes "Ronin" as a "superhero, science fiction, samurai, urban nightmare, gothic romance."
