Actress Gwyneth Paltrow will join actor Robert Downey Jr. in Marvel Studios' "Iron Man," the Jon Favreau-directed comic book-to-film set for a Paramount Pictures release, May 2008.Paltrow will portray 'Virginia "Pepper" Potts', personal assistant to 'Tony Stark' (Downey), an industrialist who develops a weaponized, flying armored suit.
Production starts March 2007 in Los Angeles."Iron Man" is the first film Marvel will provide financing for, through an arrangement with Merrill Lynch.
