According to reports, Paramount Pictures, under the leadership of former producer Brad "Sopranos" Grey may be ready to rekindle "The Godfather" movie franchise.
It is not known whether original "Godfather" director Francis Ford Coppola will be back to continue helming the series, although Paramount has been busy signing 'auteurs' under their studio wing for other films, recently making a deal with director Martin Scorsese.
Coppola was reportedly not pleased about Paramount's 1995 decision to license "The Godfather" for a video game.
Paramount will base the new films on the novels "The Godfather Returns" and "The Godfather's Revenge", both written by author Mark Winegardner.
