Saturday, October 14, Sneak Peek attended the Vancouver International Film Festival (VIFF) Closing Gala , screening director Stephen "Prick Up Your Ears" Frear's The Queen.

The following VIFF Closing party was attended by a crowd of film fans hot to dig into Moroccan cuisine with unlimited wine, beer and the sounds of throbbing, Latin music.

But it ain't over, 'til its over...


Sunday, October 15, 2006, Sneak Peek attended the FTX West 2006 Great Canadian Pitchfest at the Segal Graduate School of Business.


Scores of people stood in line to pitch scripts/concepts to top film studios, including Ron Howard's Imagine Entertainment, noted for A Beautiful Mind, Cinderella Man and The Da Vinci Code.

A total of 27 'Decision Makers' attended the PitchFest including reps from Characters Agency, Lucas Talent, Chum Television, CBC, Circle of Confusion, Infinity Features, Blip TV, Knowledge Network, Misher Films, New Wave Entertainment and Tollin Pictures.



LA-based Ellen Sandler, award-winning writer, co-producer of TV hits Everybody Loves Raymond and Coach told Sneak Peek she was impressed by the many 'excellent' story pitches she had heard throughout the day. Sandler is currently Development Producer for Blip TV, seeking comedy writers of short videos and webisodes for delivery to wireless phones including the Sprint PCS Network.

Sandler also taught classes at this year's FTX West including Sitcom Structure and Creating From Passion.

Later that evening at the FTX West Pitchfest Cocktail Party, followed by the FTX West Closing Party, Sneak Peek was there to shmooze alongside top Vancouver film creatives and studio executives, amid a smorg of wine and samosas.
