"The Host" With The Most

From producer Choi Yong-bae, based on a screenplay by Bong Joon-ho, Hah Joon-won and Baek Chul-hyun comes the Korean film "The Host", starring Song Kang-ho, Byun Hee-bong, Park Hae-il, Bae Doo-na and Ko A-sung.

The film is inspired by Scotland's legendary underwater dinosaur, the Loch Ness Monster.

Premise of "The Host" begins one afternoon alongside the Korean Han River, when an unidentified mass hanging from a bridge is suddenly revealed as a monstrosity that quickly tears through spectators in a vicious rampage. Using its tail, the creature grabs the daughter of a vendor and retreats into the water. 'Gang-du', father of the girl and his family, including an alcoholic son and Olympic bronze-medalist daughter, try to find a way to get the girl back from the monster.

VFX for "The Host" is from Weta Workshop ("Lord of the Rings", "King Kong"), John Cox's Creature Workshop ("Babe") and The Orphanage ("Hellboy").
