The upcoming Castlevania animated feature, based on the best-selling 'gothic horror' video game series, will be scripted by author Warren Ellis for Project 51 Productions.
Ellis is one of the most prolific comic book writers working in the field today, noted for scripting numerous titles including Excalibur, Ghost Rider, Doom 2099, Thor, Carnage, Storm, Wolverine, Ultimate Fantastic Four, Iron Man, Thunderbolts, Global Frequency, Hellblazer and JLA Classified.
The "Castlevania" video games were created and developed by Konami, debuting in Japan in 1986 and in North America/Europe in 1987.
Premise of the series follows a war between the enchanted family bloodline of the 'Belmonts' and 'Dracula'.
