Fantasia Plays Herself in "Life Is Not A Fairy Tale"

Lifetime TV will broadcast "The Fantasia Barrino Story: Life is Not a Fairy Tale", a 'Lifetime TV Original Movie', August 19, 20 and 21.

Premise of the MOW follows the story of 2004 "American Idol" winner Fantasia Barrino.

At 16 years old Fantasia dropped out of high school and had a child, but with a passion for life and considerable vocal talent, she beat the odds to become a Grammy-nominated recording artist.

Fantasia will play herself and sing all her own numbers in the film, directed by Emmy and Golden Globe-winning director, Debbie Allen.
