Cage is a Basket Case as "The Wicker Man" ... actor says this is the last straw -

Take a look at actor Nicolas Cage, looking more like a skull-head from the upcoming "Ghost Rider", than his usual charming self, in the teaser poster for the BC-filmed thriller "The Wicker Man", an update of director Robin Hardy's 1973 feature, based on the novel by author Anthony Shaffer.

The original film focused on 'Sergeant Howie' (Edward Woodward) who traveled to 'Summerisle' to investigate the disappearance of a young girl, only to be caught up in a cult led by 'Lord Summerisle' (Christopher Lee).

The new film, written and directed by Neil LaBute, from Shaffer's original screenplay, follows sheriff 'Edward Maulis' (Cage) investigating the disappearance of a young girl from a small island, only to become entangled in a 'neo-pagan' community.

"The Wicker Man" filmed in Merritt and Vancouver, BC.
