Paradox Buys Into Howard's "Red Sonja" ...

February 6, 2006

Paradox Entertainment, literary rights holders to the estate of author Robert E. Howard, the creator of "Conan", have now purchased the remainder of Howard's character library, including approximately 800 other literary properties.

Among Howard's 'sword 'n sorcery' characters that Paradox now controls are 'Kull', 'Bran Mak Morn', 'Solomon Kane' and 'Red Sonja'.

Howard published most of his stories throughout the 1920's and 1930's in 'pulp' magazines including titles "Weird Tales", "Spicy Adventure" and "Strange Detective".

Paradox purchased "Conan" in 2002 and bought the rest of the library from the Texas-based Alla Ray Morris Generation Skipping Exemption Trust.

Paradox will now license its Howard properties for film, TV, video games and toys.
