Hyde Park Counts On "10"...

Hyde Park Entertainment Group has secured rights from Blake Edwards to remake his 1979 comedy "10."
The original film starred actors Dudley Moore, Julie Andrews and Bo Derek.
Hyde Park chairman Ashok Amritraj and exec Patrick Aiello will produce with Lou Pitt; Blake Edwards and Geoffrey Edwards will exec produce.
"Blake's timeless original encapsulated the fallacy of 'the grass is always greener' in relationships," said Amritraj.
Hyde Park's in post on the Capcom vidgame adaptation "Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li," which will be released Feb. 27 through its co-production deal with 20th Century Fox.
Hyde Park also just wrapped romantic comedy "The Other End of the Line," which MGM will release in November...

New "Papillon" Taking Flight...

A group of producers are putting together a $90 million budgeted package for a planned remake of 1973 prison drama "Papillon".
The original film, starred actors Steve McQueen and Dustin Hoffman as criminals trying to escape from Devil's Island, a French penal colony located in South America.
Spanish production company Atlantia Canarias recently closed a deal for the rights to the autobiography of author Henri Charriere, whose best-selling book served as the basis for "Papillon".
The company has teamed up with Los Angeles-based producers Branko "Gladiator" Lustig and John J. "Into The Wild" Kelly.
Financing has reportedly been arranged through a Canary Islands tax investment vehicle.

The update will meld the narrative with classic 80's tunes in a novel twist on the cult comedy.
Idealogy's Sean Bailey and Matt Smith are behind the project.
Bailey will produce and Smith will executive produce.
