Spany's first major film role was in the science fiction feature "Pacific Rim Uprising (2018). This was followed by roles in the films "Bad Times at the El Royale", “On the Basis of Sex" and "Vice".

She had supporting roles in the TV miniseries "Devs" (2020) and "Mare of Easttown" (2021).

Spaeny played the lead in the supernatural horror film "The Craft: Legacy" (2020), portrayed ‘Priscilla Presley' in the biopic "Priscilla" (2023), starred in “Alien: Romulus” (2024) and co-stars in “Wake Up Dead Man” (2025).
