Ubisoft confirms that actor Tom Hardy ("The Dark Knight Rises"), will star in the developing feature film adaptation of Ubisoft's best-selling video game franchise, "Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell".
The first game, released in 2002 follows 'Sam Fisher', a covert operative assigned to the top-secret 'National Security Agency' branch of the 'Third Echelon'.
The games has spun off sequels including "Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Conviction," (2010) and the upcoming "Blacklist".
