"The Dictator" Lashes Out @ Oscar

Actor Sacha Baron Cohen's plan to appear at the February 26, 2012 Oscar ceremony in character as 'Adm. Gen. Shabazz Aladeen', from his upcoming Paramount comedy feature "The Dictator," was at first scuttled by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.

"They have until midday on Sunday to give me my tickets back", said Aladeen. "If they do not, they will see and face unforeseen and unimaginable consequences."

After posting a video, Aladeen was sent his tickets and will now be attending the Oscars ceremony.

Directed by Larry Charles ("Borat"), "The Dictator" co-stars Anna Faris, Ben Kingsley, Megan Fox, John C. Reilly and J.B. Smoove.

Cohen's fourth film "...tells the heroic story of a dictator who risked his life to ensure that democracy would never come to the country he so lovingly oppressed..."

"The Dictator" opens May 11, 2012.
