Dark Horse Comics' "Doctor Solar, Man Of The Atom" #8, will be available May 4, 2011, written by Jim Shooter, with art by Roger Robinson/Agustin Alessio and a cover by Michael Komarck:

"The Art Of Doug Sneyd"

Dark Horse Publishing will release the hardcover edition of "The Art Of Doug Sneyd", July 13, 2011, written by Sneyd, Hugh Hefner and Lynn Johnston, with illustrations by Sneyd:
"...The cartoon works of Doug Sneyd, an artist for 'Playboy' magazine since the early 1960's, are now collected in this stunning art book, featuring the most lush, sumptuous, striking, and hilarious of Doug's full-page cartoons. The book includes a foreword by "Playboy" founder Hefner, an introduction by Lynn Johnston, cartoonist of the nationally syndicated strip "For Better or For Worse" and reflections from the artist, with almost three hundred full-color illustrations, including those previously unpublished by "Playboy" magazine.
The deluxe limited-edition collection also features an exclusive print inside the book, signed by the artist, presented in a slipcase, limited to one hundred copies.

Sneak Peek "Atlas Shrugged Part 1"

Sneak Peek the new poster and trailer supporting the $5 million "Atlas Shrugged Part I", the adaptation of author Ayn Rand's 1957 novel.

The new film is scheduled for release April 15, directed by Paul Johansson, starring Taylor Schilling, Grant Bowler, Matthew Marsden, Graham Beckel, Edi Gathegi, Jsu Garcia and Michael Lerner.

In "Atlas Shrugged Part 1", 'Dagny Taggart' (Schilling) runs 'Taggart Transcontinental', the only remaining railroad company in America, despite the disappearance of her best workers.

She becomes attracted to 'Henry Rearden' (Bowler) and his invention of the super-strength metal alloy 'Rearden Metal', that holds the promise that innovation can overcome a slide into anarchy.

"Atlas Shrugged" also introduces a theory of sex based in broader ethical and psychological theories. Rather than considering sexual desire a debasing animal instinct, Rand portrays it as the highest celebration of human values.

Anchor Bay Is Sweet On "Wild Cherry"

The new Anchor Bay DVD release "Wild Cherry", is the 2009 comedy feature lensed in Manitoba, Canada:

"'Helen McNicol' (Tania Raymonde) is a high school senior in love with 'Stanford' (Ryan Merriman) her jock boyfriend.

"But when Helen discovers her name written in the high school football team's secret 'Bang Book' with Stanford obligated to 'deflower' her, the tables are turned and the battle begins when Helen and her two best friends, 'Katelyn Chase' (Rumer Willis) and 'Trish van Doren' (Kristin Cavallari) form a pact to maintain their virginity, embarrass the team and foil the plot against them.

"Wild Cherry" is directed by Dana Lustig and written by David Kolbowicz & Grant Vetters and Chris Charney. Producers are Mike DiManno, R. Scott Reid, Gavin Wilding, Kyle Bornais, David Flanagan and Byron Martin.
