New Pix of Willis as 'John McClane'

Before he re-locates to Vancouver for director Len "Underworld" Wiseman, congenial actor Bruce Willis as New York cop 'Det. John McClane' is seen here on set in Baltimore, where "Live Free or Die Hard" has now started shooting.

Willis is one of the producers of the 4th movie in the "Die Hard" series, along with John "Predator" McTiernan, director of the first film.

Esquire Declares Johansson "Sexiest Woman Alive"

In the November issue of Esquire Magazine, 21-year old actress Scarlett Johansson has been declared "The Sexiest Woman Alive."

Johansson, whose screen credits include "Lost in Translation" and "Match Point", says she would rather be admired for her 'attributes' other than sex appeal.

"What about my brain?", she said.

"What about my heart?"

"Transformers: Prime Directive", the upcoming live-action Paramount/DreamWorks feature from director Michael "The Rock" Bay and executive producer Steven Spielberg is looking for background performers for a Detroit shoot:

"Extras 16 years of age & older are needed to work outside for the 2-day scene currently scheduled for the first week of Oct. 2006.

VIFF Film & Television Forum - Sept 29 - Seymour Street, Vancouver

As part of this year's Vancouver International Film Festival, the 21st Annual Film and Television Forum September 27 – 29 hosted a series of panel discussions, master classes, tête-à-tête sessions, roundtable discussions and workshops geared to the professional development of the Canadian film and television community.

The three-day event provided a platform to access domestic and global markets through the expertise of guest speakers plus an opportunity for delegates to meet and foster working relationships with their peers.

A reception was hosted for attendees, September 29.
